YIU LIAN DOCKYARDS (SHE KOU) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the China Merchants Industry Holdings Co. Ltd. It was founded in 1989 and focuses on the repair and conversion of various ships and offshore structures, as well as complicated steel work.
The company is admitted by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Covering a total area of 700,000 square meters in the Pearl River delta where it is located, the company operates along the coastline a total of 3,400 meters of berth space and two (VLCC size) graving docks with a capacity of 300.000 D.W.T. and over 300.000 D.W.T. respectively as well as two floating docks which can handle vessels of 70.000 D.W.T. and 30.000 D.W.T..
