The Elgin Brown and Hamer Pty. Ltd. Group of companies consists of eight (8) subsidiary companies in total, providing the international ship industry with a full in-house service in all aspects of ship repair. Elgin Brown & Hamer operate the first privately owned floating docks in southern Africa. The Group operates from Durban, East London, Cape Town (South Africa) and Walvis Bay (Namibia) to provide the international shipping industry with a full house service in all aspects of ship repair and dry-docking. This includes the provision of riding crews to vessels worldwide. The group repairs about 400 vessels each year, more than 80 of which are dry docked.

 

CAPETOWN

Strategically placed on the main sea route around Africa, Cape Town will continue to serve as the Tavern of the Seas. At Cape Town, Elgin Brown & Hamer, provide a full spectrum of ship repair services and facilities, which are of the highest international standards. Elgin Brown and Hamer has access to the state-owned graving and floating dock facilities operated by the National Ports Authority.
